Your Role:
As an RN or LPN, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. You'll provide skilled nursing care, monitor health conditions, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure residents receive personalized, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess resident health needs and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor, document, and communicate changes in resident conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Perform physical assessments and respond to medical concerns.
- Coordinate care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants and caregiving staff as needed.
- Facilitate hospital transfers and emergency response procedures.
- Perform clinical procedures including:
- IV and saline lock management.
- Glucose and INR monitoring.
- Lab specimen collection.
- Bladder scans and suction procedures.
- IV and saline lock management.
- Assist with resident admissions and care transitions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and EMR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Michigan RN or LPN License.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 6 months to 1 year of geriatric, long-term care, assisted living, or senior care experience.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent resident care needs when necessary.
