Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and analyses to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization. This position is not remote.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, journal entries, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards, including some of the organizations more complex entities.
  • Prepare required schedules and provide necessary documents to auditors for annual audits.
  • Prepare Summary and System Wide Financial Reports as needed/requested by Management.
  • Prepare, record, and maintain financial schedules, reports and filings required by laws, regulations, or management.
  • Provide analytical and financial support for The Village of East Harbor.
  • Back-up, update, and provide assistance/troubleshoot on recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current information technology.
  • Reconcile bank statements to cashbooks and general ledger.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs and analyze variances from budget.
  • Assist in Operations forecasting
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems and performance improvement.
  • Maintain all relevant lapse and depreciation schedules.
  • Provide input on various policies, procedures and programs and assist on implementation.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
  • Provide information as requested and assist in the development of documentation that will assist the Villages in achieving financial goals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing assessment of segregation of duties within the department.
  • Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.
  • Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:
    • Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures.
    • Safety policies and procedures.
    • Federal, state and local regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education:
Business Administration degree with major in Accounting.

Experience:
Minimum seven (7) years related experience.

Computer Skills:
  • Computer literate.
  • Expert knowledge of spreadsheet and data base software.
  • Experience with SAGE-GL accounting software helpful.

Certificates & Licenses:  Certified Public Accountant preferred.
